I'll drive too. My car fits 4 comfortably (including me), 5 uncomfortably, and 6 if they are circus clowns.

reread my post lunkhead. i believe i said something like, "If it is during the week, I'll be up in Lake George, a mere 80 miles away" but it is being planned on a weekend. when I will be driving back. and considering I have a wife and child in the car with me, can't exactly take them 80 miles out tha way. god, I want to shoot you. with a paintball, of course.

The weekend is during the week. It certainly doesn't exist outside of 'the week', no one says I'll meet you there on saturday of next non-week period.

The weekend is during the week. It certainly doesn't exist outside of 'the week', no one says I'll meet you there on saturday of next non-week period. so then the word "weekend" isn't really necessary? the common definition of "durign the week" is the mon-fri duration. if you say you are having a bbq, and you tell people it is during the week, most will understand that not to be on the weekend. My piece is said, and I still want to shoot you. With a paintball.

Everyone is dumb. When someone says "during the week" they are generally referring to any of those 5 days that are not "the weekend". Of course "the weekend" occurs during "the week" but it is implied, by having a different designation, to be a different thing than "during the week". However, "last full week in July" clearly indicates the inclusion of the weekend since a "full week" is 7 days. A week, by definition, is 7 consecutive days, unless it is specified as a "Work week" or "Business weeK" in which it would be universally understood as a period of Monday-Friday (5 consecutive days). Since most people work "during the week"(during the "work week") and have off from work on "the weekend", it would easily be assumed that the best dates "during the last full week in July" would fall on the "weekend" portion of that specific "full week" in order to accomodate the most parties. There was only one specific request for dates, and it was accomodated to as the accomodator understood the request. Although the requestor did say "during the week" he would be in Lake George, a mere 80 miles away, he did not state that the "weekend" was not good for him. By using first the phrase "the first full week in July" (indicating a period of seven consecutive days) he left it open for his next phrase "during the week" to be interpretted as meaning during the "full week" and not during the "business" or "work" week (that five day period he was actually referring to). Perhaps, to avoid such further confusion, future suggestions and requests should be made in terms of specific dates using the specific day of the week and specific day of the month.

If camping is in fact planned as part of this paintball trip I'm totally interested. Paintball only, not so much, but camping definitely. I am away July 26-August 2. I am available on Weekends of the dates I am not away.
