Kansas City not having exicting players to watch? You realize both NY starting center fielders started their careers there. Saberhagan and Cone both came from there as well. Tom Gordon, and Jeff Conine, also. Royals can pick players. Just can't keep 'em. Expos started with even more amazing talent. Johnson, Martinez, Cabrera, Guerrero, the list goes on and on.

oh c'mon...now you're arguing just to argue (seems like the old monty python sketch). sure damon and cone and sabes are (were) exciting, but they weren't as monumental to the game as brett (and i will plainly call you out on this one....jeff conine and flash gordon are not exciting to watch!). compare the best expos in the past fifteen years to the royals best. The expos would have one of the best teams in baseball, while it would still be an understatement if you described the royals as sucky.

First of all, I am not argueing that the Royals aren't exciting. They have had great players come through thier system. You're just an illogical idiot saying that the Royals are not run properly. You're blaming the poor area they play in (thanks for the pics Dr. Bob) for the team not having more money.

I dont know bob that well but I love that mothafucker!!!! How come the cheifs who have been a mediocre football team sell out all there games every season? ?? Any answers sherlock, guess the dirt farmers like football better than baseball??? And what about the college football teams in the S.E.C, there not popular and sell out. You'll probably say that 17 games compared to 162 is a big difference, however I didn't say raise the prices of seats just put some money in and the revenue will increase. Whens the last time someone you know bought a piece of royals gear(besides a Rall!!!) Even the d-rays sell jerseys(crawford, baldelli,Kashmir) I think New Jersey should get a team.....the dumps!!!! Seriously I think a team would do well in the mid jersey area. Or maybe virginia. The expos could have been contenders but there team was smack dab in the middle of french canada, if it ain't hockey or soccer forget it. They had no chance of making money with those canucks!!!

Okay Sherlock, the Chiefs are in the NFL. The NFL has real revenue sharing. That's how the Chiefs can pay out 83% of the wealthiest team's spending in player salaries, and the Royals can't pay out even 25% of the wealthiest team's spending in player salaries.

lol, i love the D+D comment Sam!!! and Tom, while I wished fervently that the water in your dunk tank was replaced by broken shards of glass tainted with syphilis, I agree with your NBA comment. BTW, the Royals have only retired #'s for George Brett, Frank Howard and Manager Howser. that's as lame as it gets.

Bone, get me 15 people interested and I will set it up. $50 a man may be too much to get people interested. Basically the only rules are: a)you must pick one team per week to WIN b)you cannot pick a team more than once
I think there is something they do like if you lose in any of the first 5 weeks, you can buy back in for $10 (this way people pick the underdogs and shitty teams, and can still get back if they lose.
All people would need an email address and need to make their picks by Thursday. I will make a weekly spreadsheet with every persons picks and email it out to all by Sunday (so everyone can see each others picks)
I will be in, as will my some of my brothers-in-law, father-in-law, cousins...Get me 15 additional people by the first week (from nethyr, from work, from wherever) Week 1 is next Thursday. I'll a few days to set it up.

email has been sent out on my part...i think $10-20 range is a good start. i can almost guarentee 5 people on my end, possibly more with work. I really want to get this thing going! BTW, Jeff "the human highlight reel" Conine has just be traded to the phillies for cash and the always dangerous player to be named later.
