Just under a week to go. Will we have as many online registrants as last year? We get about 250 runners each year, with most people registering by the mail-in registration or at the run. I'm thinking that the early, online registrants are the most likely to re-register repeatedly, year after year, and that getting more online registrants would be the best way to grow the event. But it looks like we may have hit a plateau for how many people we can convince to register online. ... anyone have any good ideas for how to get a lot more people to register and participate?

www.run-for-children.org/Tomorrow morning's the run. Have fun, we'll miss you this year! Jenny and I are doing a simultaneous run in Cambridge at 3pm our time (10am your time, when the start is). Looks like the town competition for online registration will be a tie... online registration around sunrise, and then anyone who still wants to register will have to do it at the event. p.s. Follow Frank for the shortcut! Towns total so far (88 online registrants):NY East Northport 6 NY Lynbrook 6 NY Merrick 5 VA Midlothian 5 NY Farmingdale 4 NY Upper Brookville 4 NY Seaford 4 NY Levittown 3 NY Carle Place 3 NY Syosset 3 NY Islip Terrace 3 NY Locust Valley 2 PA Philadelphia 2 NY Plainview 2 NY Westbury 2 UK Cambridge 2 NY Huntington Station 2 ny Medford 2 NY N Bellmore 1 ny rockville centre 1 NY Long Beach 1 NY Brentwood 1 NY Glen Cove 1 ny Kings Park 1 NY Forest Hills 1 NY Hicksville 1 NY Huntington 1 NY M apequa 1 NY M apequa Park 1 NY Melville 1 NY New York 1 NY Ozone Park 1 ny selden 1 NY Rockville Center 1 ny ronkonkoma 1 NY North M apequa 1 NY Bayville 1 NY Bethpage 1 ny Islandia 1 NV Las Vegas 1 NY ALBERTSON 1 NY Babylon 1 NY Oyster Bay 1 va Sterling 1 NY Valhalla 1 NY West Sayville 1

is there an award for coming from the farthest east to participate in the race? Because I believe that orange dot is me ( and my lovely wife who could win because i believe she sleeps further east than i do on a normal basis)
