God damn I am tired of this effin' Boston talk. Least the Lombardi trophy nor the Stanley Cup aren't in Beantown.

Well this has been quite an exciting trade deadline. Many changes have occured, none of which I have any complaints over. The Yankees have done a great job filling some holes and I'm feeling pretty good right now.
To top it all off, just as the deadline hits, like a big fat cherry on top of a heaping ice cream sundae, all Yankee fans have been given an additional little treat as one Manny Ramirez finds himself traded to the LA Dodgers! Farewell sir, I cant say it's been a pleasure, but distance is said to make the heart grow fonder, and now that you find yourself on the west coast, in the national league no less, the distance between us is certainly quite vast.
I leave you now with this, a little ditty from all Yankee fans the world over...
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye! Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye! Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!!!
Ha ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha, HAH HAH HAH, HAHAHA!

Hahaha. I just really hate the guy and Im really really happy i don't have to look at his stupid face anymore during regular season baseball games (not counting inter-league play). , sox fans should be happy too, I mean yeah you're losing some fairly big offense, but Jason Bay has pretty decent power, and as far as I know he doesn't fake injuries when the mood strikes him or take 4 hours to run from one base to another. Also, I picture David Ortiz crying a single tear like that anti-pollution Indian from the 70's, and the cockles just warm a bit.

stop talking about your cockles.
I am happy about it, and sad at the same time. The kid could rake, and I could even put up with all of his "Manny being Manny" moments. I didn't care, as long as we were getting our .310, 35 HR, 120 RBI.
This year was different. He made himself a major distraction and was just being a stupid d!ck all year long. I knew after his comments last night, it was done like dinner.
I'm happy about Bay, but at the end of the day the Sox lost Manny, 2 decent prospects, AND had to pay $7,000,000, for Manny's salary. They pretty much dumped him to dump him.
Bay isn't the same hitter, but he's a better OF and base runner, and the black cloud is gone from the clubhouse.
Also, Manny is a dumbass. he could have kept his mouth shut, produced, and the Sox would have picked up his $20m option. Now, I SERIOUSLY doubt anyone else is gonna pony up those big bucks (unless it's Tommy's Mets or your Yanks).
Also, next year, with Manny and Schill's salaries off the books, Sox will play hard in the FA space.
THAT SAID, there were a lot of good times, and the two World Series. So, sorry to see him go, but good riddance, at the same time.
here we go, RED SOX, here we go

Red Sox owners basically decided to trade him after Manny started running his mouth about ownership, forgetting the one cardinal rule taught to us by The Godfather, it's business not personal. There is no way the Sox are a better team.

Wow that story is disgraceful. Im am so sick of this culture we raise our children in where nobody can excel and everyone needs to perform under the illusion that they are just as good as everybody else. That kid could be a future superstar, but now hes being told that its wrong for him to be good at something. Man these people.

I've got to go with Jim on this one. If he's awesome at something, go him. If he's awesome enough that you can't deal with it, step up your game a little bit, or learn from the defeat until you do. Stopping him from playing entirely is bs. The world has gotten a little over-sensitive for my tastes.

They're not stopping him from playing -- they just won't let him play in that league, since he's throwing 40mph fastballs by little kids. He can move up a level.

He is allowed to play in the league. He is not allowed to pitch in the league, which is I agree is bullshit. If he was drilling kids and causing major injuries then sure it might be time to stop him from pitching, but to have a league comprised of age brackets and then say you throw too hard is not right.
