Hey people,
I want to get a football game (two hands I suppose) up and running. I have various people that are interested in playing and I know a bunch of people here were interested. I'm aiming for Sunday, December 7 at 10AM (9AM for the chronically late). Please let me know if you are interested as well as where would be a good field to play on and if you can bring other, non-Nethyr-ese people. So far I think I've got about 5 or so on my end (which translates to 2 game day). Get back to me!

For those of you who didn't play today because you think we are getting too old for football... you may be right... I am clearly too old.
I threw my back out 20 min into the game by running up the field. I wish I could say I was diving, or being tackled, or at least that I slipped on the snow... but no... I hurt myself running.

It was a good turnout, and Dan that was a phenominal diving catch as you got hit by two people, spun in the air and landed on your back still holding the ball. You're allowed to be hurt.

I think its less that you are old and more that you probably dont exercise much. There are plenty of athletes who compete well into their 30's and even 40's. The only difference between them and you is they are out there keeping themselves in shape and working out on a regular basis.

I kind of thought the same, but I go to the gym a few times a week and run a 5k that'd almost be respectable for a non-smoker, and I'm an aching bastard right now.

well theres a bit of a difference between going to the gym and jogging down the road, and getting forcably tackled to the ground and hit violently. Unless of course you were playing 2 hand touch in which case maybe youre just a gigantic ?

There's a certain amount of post football pain that makes it all the better. I feel spectacular. granted I only started playing hard when I took Dan's cleats. I thinks jim should play.
