tis better to have made the playoffs and lost, then to never have made the playoffs at all.
it is good to have the boston fan base back too

so, I'm curious to see what you Giants fans think about your Super Bowl hero shooting a hole in his leg, possibly going to prison for 3+ years, and one of your defensive powerhouse potentially facing charges as an accomplice.
I mean that in all seriousness, so please spare me the 18-1 and the fact that the Pats are 7-5 and barely relevant.

Totally ok with it.
First off, Plax is in no way, shape, or form, a hero.
The Giants have tremendous depth @ WR. Yes, Plax was the #1 target as WR and Eli's favorite receiver, but if you look @ this week's stats, you'll see there was a fair amount of receptions by all of them. I don't think Hixon is as dynamic as Plax, but he's also not a distraction. Pierce won't be charged, and he won't miss any playing time. I am sure they will still do fine. They are 3-0 in game without Burress. He was benched against the Seahawks and we killed 'em (I understand they suck) but he also didn't play against Arizona or the Redskins, and we did fine. I think him being out of the lineup could definitely be seen as a good thing. Less "me" focus and more "team" oriented thinking is always a plus. Is he a great player? Sure. The guy can catch almost anything thrown @ him.
Mayor Bloomberg was on the radio today, and he was talking about this. He basically said that he didn't care that this situation happened to a celebrity, and thinks the possession of an unlicensed gun should have it's 3 year sentence awarded to anyone who commits the crime. As a citizen, I agree. As a Giants fan, I still agree. Lock 'em up. We'll still win again this year.

In additon, your team's record last year was 18-1 (the loss being in the Super Bowl, to the Giants), The Pats are 7-5 this year and are barely relevant.

Aside from Giant glory, the Jets are sick! Not a Jets fan in any way, but yet I am compelled to watch them. The win against Tennessee was awesome. Nice to have 2 decent teams. Love to see 'em meet in Tampa.

As a long suffering Jets fan, I have only one thing to say about Plaxico Burress and the impact this may have on the remaining Giants season...
whatever.

METS FANS:
Comment on K-Rod (who the Sox lit up in the playoffs in 2008)
NYY FANS:
Comment on CC (which stands for Chocolate Cake, by the looks of him) Sabathia (who the Sox lit up in the 2007 playoffs)

Mats and Yanks makin' all sortsa moves. Mets traded for J.J. Putz by getting rid of Aaron Heilman (thank God!). Now we have two closers! And one as our 8th inning setup! And the Yankees getting rid of Melky for Mike Cameron. Nice move.
And the Sox stand pat. Don't worry tho. The team that had Manny for 3/4 of the reason last year that made no trades so far, I'm sure you'll do better this year.

The winter meetings should have been held in NY with all the moves we've made so far. Grats on the bullpen Tom, k-rod and putz are quite the upgrade.
Now if the Yanks can just finish all these trades by NOT signing Burnett or Manny, I will be a happy guy.

I'm hoping that the NYY signing CC (Clams Casino) Sabathia takes them out of the Texiera sweepstakes. that guy is awesome. It will be just like 2000. NYY sign Moose. Sox sign ManRam. 8 years later: two WS, I'll take it! gonna be another nice season in the AL East. let's hope the Sox and NYY can return order to the world and smack the stupid Rays back to the basement. Best story in baseball my .

Ugh, I just found out we gave 90 million dollars to Aj Burnett. I mean what the , this guy is another Carl Pavano waiting to happen.

AJ is a good pitcher. Not a Pavano, but not a stud. I can't believe they spent that much on CC. Honestly, they had to throw the big money at him to get him, but he is not worth the dollars they spent. Not to start a Mets/Yankees arguement, but he is making more than Santana, and is not the pitcher Santana is.
