That kid is CUTE CUTE CUTE! Well done, Tom and Jill!
My parenting advice: STEAL THOSE BLANKETS! I wouldn't normally advise theft, but those hospital baby blankets with pink and blue stripes on the ends are the softest baby blankets you'll ever find. You'd have to run new ones through the wash 100 times to match them. We swiped 4 of them when our 1st was born, and passed them on to someone else later.

So I have only been a Dad for roughly 36 hours now, and I have already become a completely different person. I am officially one of "those Dads." I was walking my son (getting used to saying that one) back to the nursery when another father made a simple glance to my child and said, "Cute." Now, out of the mouth I uttered the simple word, "Thanks." In my head I said, "WTF is wrong with you? Cute? Cute? Obviously sir, you are mistaking my son for a kitten. My son is not cute. He is, in fact, the most adorable and perfect thing you have ever seen in you life. Perhaps you require corrective lenses or require Lasik surgery. Or maybe his completely perfect adorability is rendering you senses beyond normal human control levels and you were simply stupified with is handsomeness that the word "Cute" was all your tiny brain could come up with. In fact sir, no, sir. You have insulted us with a mere "cute." If I were not on a curfew to return him to the nursery, he would tell you himself, in baby gurgles that you could easily understand." Yeah, he is cute.

T.J. (or Tommy, we don't know which way we are going with the nickname yet) is good luck from the start.
7/13, actually 7-1-3 were the winning Daily Numbers (midday drawing) for the NY Lotto.
We are not retiring yet, but a payout of $560 on a $2 bet will buy a decent amount of diapers.
